The first two days of our trip have been truly fantastic.
Students’ behaviour and enthusiasm have been exemplary from the very beginning. On Sunday, we enjoyed a walk through the city centre, exploring Gràcia and Las Ramblas, with a special stop at the famous La Pallaresa Xocolateria Xurreria to taste the traditional chocolate con churros — ¡delicioso!
Later that evening, meeting their exchange partners and host families for tapas was a wonderful experience and a pleasure to witness.
Yesterday was a full day of collaboration and learning. In the morning, students visited two of the most important and internationally renowned works of Antoni Gaudí and Barcelona’s Modernist movement: Park Güell and Casa Milà – La Pedrera.
Due to a weather warning in the afternoon, we rearranged our plans and continued our activities at our sister school, Col·legi Scala Dei, where students reflected on and worked through what they had learned during the day.
A very positive start to the experience — and there is much more to come in the next few days
With huge thanks to Mr Penon, Mr Foley and our SNA Tracey for faciltating this amazing adventure.
