Careers Speed Dating

Our annual Careers Speed Dating is held every November, this year it is on Friday the 24th of November. This is a gathering of many guests with all ranges of qualifications and skills. It is a great opportunity for our students to engage with people from the working world, to gain an insight into different careers and apprenticeships.

WOW (Week of Well being)

This is a week held twice a year to promote well being amongst our students and staff. it includes many activities and events to help increase the morale of students.

SEACHTAIN NA GAEILGE

Seachtain na Gaeilge takes place over two weeks during March each year. Each year we have a variety of different activities from Story Telling, bingó, ceolchoirm, bodhrán workshops ceilí etc. This year was particularly fun with a first year competition for the best decorated classroom a poster competition, bodhrán workshops, a hip hop tiktok event as Gaeilge a quiz and bingo competitions. A lot of fun was had by al and we look forward to planning a bigger and better event for next year.

SCHOOL SHOW

Our annual school show has always been a great event at the college where students showcase their singing dance and acting talents. Our show takes place in the Tallaght Theatre. Students gather at lunchtime through the School Completion Programme clubs and rehearse. Other students who prefer not to tread the boards help out by doing hair and make up or backstage crew etc. Our resident MCs Mr Conroy and Ms. Butimer keep us all entertained while they professionally introduce each act and often treat us to a song or dance. It is a great fun event and an opportunity for us all to have fun outside the classroom. We are currently recruiting talent for our next production. Look Out!!

MOUNT SESKINS GOT TALENT

The Mount Seskin's Got Talent annual event offers students another opportunity to showcase their talents and compete for prizes. The event which is organised by the LCVP Class as an enterprise activity each year is attended by the whole school and provides great entertainment for all. Our resident judges from the teaching staff would rival Simon Cowell (in attitude not bank balances!). Students compete in different styles of dance lyrical, hip hop, free style and Irish dancing as singers, musicians and from diverse areas such as comedians and magicians. We are excitedly anticipating our next show.
