Fáilte roimh Coláiste Pobail Móin Seiscinn.

I am delighted to address you on behalf of our community here at Mount Seskin Community College, Jobstown.

Our college commenced in September in 1986. It is a constituent of Dublin and Dún Laoghaire Education and Training Board (DDLETB). It is a co-educational post-primary school with a comprehensive curriculum.

I work with highly dedicated, caring and motivated staff; our students are wonderful and we have valuable parental involvement in our school.

Our approach is holistic. We promote a positive attitude towards learning as well as responsible behaviour.

The principles of equality, diversity. Inclusion and respect are evident in all aspects of our college.

Our academic success at Junior and Senior Cycles has been reinforced through our biannual whole school awards’ ceremonies and our Access to College Education (ACE) Programme. This latter programme is much admired in the community and beyond and has contributed greatly to our high level of student transfer to third level institutions.

We don’t rest on our laurels at Mount Seskin Community College, but we do strive to make our school better in every way: Our staff are continuously upskilling: the guidance of our Board of Management is second to none and we enjoy great support from the Dublin and Dún Laoghaire Education and Training Board (DDLETB).

Mol an Óige agus thiocfaigh sí.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide an inclusive learning environment which promotes academic excellence, built on the personal, social and spiritual development of all. We endeavour to develop confident, creative life-long learners in an atmosphere of equality, justice and respect.

Pastoral Care

On entering the College each class is assigned a Class Tutor and each year group is assigned a Year Head. The Tutor gets to know each student in the group well and is available to parents to discuss their child’s progress.

The Year Head, in conjunction with the Class Tutor, monitors the academic and social progress of the student and maintains regular contact with parents.
